RESPECT

Take a look attitude of Indonesia's President to every one, high officials, diplomat, politician, religious leaders , keep respect not under estimate. Because he was from the low citizen. When million Moslem demonstration in front of the palace, president seated in the ground level while religious leader sermon the gathering. He was not feel lowered.

The same behavior of us who originally, low citizen when seated up in a high position, like a peanut not forget of its skin. When was very young, 25 years old, as a rubber factory manager for export market in a small town I was under branch manager of Medan, North Sumatra capital. 5 out of 6 department head were my boss family, older the me, 30 - 60 years. I kept respect them so we may fulfilled Letter of credit on time to Europe.
After 2 years as a factory manager, I was resign because Didn't fit to the family system. Ultimately the factory closed down after i leaved. 10 years later my boss transferred to Central Java as a factory manager of Coca cola bottle and I was promoted too to Central Java as a Bank branch manager. I visit him then. I saw from his gesture that she felt sorry but I felt respect him not let him down.

The similar happened once when I was a deputy branch manager of a bank. My boss, branch manager, never gave me the important tasks, but as an administrative. But 5 years later I was promoted to be a big branch manager in the same region and my bos transferred to be a staff in a region office, lower the my position, I kept respect him not let him down.

From above experiences came to my conclution that we should never under estimate our staff, because they are became a leader some day. When i was early retirement and set up my own company then applied for a loan, my ex staff as a bank branch manager help me a big loan. Some time I was travelling out of town, my ex staff lend me a car 24 hours with a driver plus gasoline. Some buy me a plane ticket, treat a dinner or pay hotel bill.

INDONESIAN.

Kemudian menjadi pelajaran, agar saya tetap menghargai para staf.
